VINTAGE PAPILLON PILOT AVIATOR SUNGLASSES, RED DEVIL MARINE AIR CORPS JET F/A-18. Condition is "Pre-owned". Shipped usps with signature required at delivery. First...I DO NOT KNOW the history of these sunglasses. I purchased at a estate sale for my hubby but he didn't really want. I CAN TELL YOU, the estate sale was of a marine who served in missions overseas many many years ago. The red devil is ETCHED, not a sticker, and PROBABLY represents the "RED DEVIL MARINE FIGHTER ATTACK SQUADRON". You've heard of Blue Angels and Thunderbirds which are different military branches. These aviators are made by PAPILLON which was a expensive brand sold in 60's, 70's and 80's from what I've researched. I don't know how to measure sunglasses so please see pics for measurements. The left lens does have some scratches in viewing area but i did not try the toothpaste or baking soda trick...i was scared to mess them up. Minimal scratches on both lens and under a jeweler's loupe small  nicks can be seen. These must be rare because i can't find anywhere on the WEB and I've also had two other people searching the WEB as well...lol!! If you know anything about these, PLEASE FEEL FREE TO MESSAGE ME.... THEY ARE QUITE THE MYSTERY!!!!! :-)
