    Description

    OFFERED FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION:
    A lot of eight (8) original 1964 Beatles Plaks cards issued in 1964 by the Topps Chewing Gum Co. These cards were issued in a set of 55 cards and test-marketed in a very limited number of American cities for a very short period of time. Consequently, the Beatles Plaks cards constitute the rarest American Beatles trading card sets. They were designed to hook together (as illustrated on the back of each card), but I wouldn’t recommend it!
    This group features the following cards:
    #5 (“Ringo! Ringo! Ringo!!”); #22 (“Thank You England”); #25 (“Beatles”); #29 (“Beatles You’re Beautiful”); #33 (“I Go Ape For The Beatles); #35 (“Smile, The Beatles Are Singing”); #42 (Paul! Paul!! Paul!!!”); and #53 (“Ringo For Kingo”).
    Each card measures approximately 4-3/4 inches X 2-1/2 inches.
    These cards are not graded and I’m not a grader. All I can say is that they appear to be in excellent condition with no wear or damage of any kind – no tears, bends, creases, stains or discoloration of any kind. All perforations are still intact. Take a look at the posted photos of both sides of each card to make your own assessment. I think you’ll agree that these are about as nice as you can get. I will ship them in hard plastic card holders to prevent bending, creasing, etc.
    Whether you’re looking to fill in a few holes in your quest to complete your Beatles Plaks set, or if you just want a nice representative sampling of cards from this very scarce high-end set, these 8 cards might fit the bill.
    Please take a close look at all the posted photos as they are as much a part of my description as my written words. If you would like to see any more photos, I would be happy to oblige as long as the request is made within a reasonable amount of time before the end of the auction. I would also be happy to answer any questions about it – before you bid.
