    Description

LGBTQ - Vtg Pin Button “Speak Out 1991” Human Rights Campaign Fund. Established in 1980 by Steve Endean and originally known as the Human Rights Campaign Fund, the Human Rights Campaign organization was originally a fund for supporting pro-fairness congressional candidates. In the early days of HRC, there were few openly LGBTQ officials in office.
In 1995, the organization rebranded to reflect its expanded programs, research and communications by dropping “fund” from the name and launching a new logo. Today’s mission states: By inspiring and engaging individuals and communities, the Human Rights Campaign strives to end discrimination against LGBTQ people and realize a world that achieves fundamental fairness and equality for all. HRC envisions a world where lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer people are ensured equality and embraced as full members of society at home, at work and in every community. This pin from 1991 is original, including the word “Fund” and the original logo. The square pin measures 1.5” by 1.5”. Condition is pre-owned. Shipped with USPS First Class.
