    Description

    CREEP
Committee to Re-Elect the President Repro Button
A 1.25" pinback button with a fan-made logo for CREEP (Committee to Re-Elect the President).
The original Committee to Re-Elect the President (officially known as CRP) planning began in late 1970 for then-President Nixon, and an office opened in the spring of 1971. Besides its re-election activities, the Committee employed money laundering and slush funds, and was involved in the Watergate scandal.
CREEP used 0,000 in funds raised to re-elect President Nixon to pay legal expenses for the five Watergate burglars. This act helped turn the burglary into an explosive political scandal. The burglars, as well as G. Gordon Liddy, E. Howard Hunt, John N. Mitchell, and other Nixon administration figures, were imprisoned over the break-in and their efforts to cover it up.
And if you thought Nixon was controversial, check out our current President! He may have a hard path ahead of him to reelection (or possibly a new campaign in four years?), so perhaps someone will CREEP out of the woodwork to help!
Wear it at practically any political rally, racing car rally, wedding party, welding convention, rave, rant, or other social event. The compact size is a plus!
