    Up for your purchase this evening is a very nice political pin, 1980 Ted Kennedy for President 1 3/4" Pinback Button I Switched to Kennedy.  Ted Kennedy, the longtime Democratic Senator from Massachusetts, made his most serious run for the Democratic nomination in 1980 but was unable to unseat incumbent President Jimmy Carter.  It was thought Kennedy would run in 1972 but in the wake of the Chappaquiddick incident he did not seek the nomination.
