1971 Super Beetle project, rust free with dealer installed air conditioning equipment. Aquired from original owner. Solid body. Battery tray fully solid and rust free. Poured a little of water into battery tray and no drips on the underside. Front fenders in good shape but not installed properly. New ignition switch but not installed. Turn signal lever mechanism broken. Rebuilt carburetor and new fuel pump to get it running. Its runs , no knocking, but won't idle. Revs up high and little or no smoke. Been sitting many many years and fuel line is clogged. Had to use remote gas canister. No brakes. Needs brake system redone. A/C components all there, compressor with bracket, under dash controls, fans, lines, everything there for a rebuild. Engine leaks oil so I did not run for very long, maybe 4 minutes or so. Dont know condition of transmission. Rear fenders are fiberglass. Looks like original spare tire. Have Dealer issued identification card with vehicles cin number on it issued from Volkswagon dealer in Long Beach California. Has both front and rear blue license plates and certificate of ownership,(original pinkslip) with receipt of delivery from said dVolkswagon dealer in 1971.sold as is, as a project car.
