Fresh body off frame restoration. Factory air conditioning, correct 396 motor.
EXTERIOR: Really sharp looking dark Fathom Green metallic with the white SS stripes. From Alabama, the body is very clean and straight. It's smooth all along the bottom of the doors, rockers and fenders. It was enhanced with a cowl induction hood. The metal flake is laid out evenly, the clear coat is polished smooth and glossy. The vinyl top is new. In front the bumper, grill, bezels and lenses have been replaced. The emblems, door handles are new. In back the bumper, tail lights and trim were replaced. The front and rear windows are new. The door jambs have been painted, given new weather strips and sill plates. Upgraded 15 inch SS wheels, tires look new.
INTERIOR: Most of the interior has been replaced. Down on the floor is new carpet, the center console looks new. Bucket seats have been reupholstered, new chrome trim, new headrests. It has a complete set of original GM seat belts. The door panels are new including the armrests, window cranks and handles. The headliner is new and it fits tight, new visors and mirror were replaced. New deluxe wheel, dash pad, instrument panel is replaced, heater control panel looks new. Updated with retro stereo.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The engine compartment is detailed and restored to factory specs. It has correct 396-325 hp motor. The cating numbers are unique to 1969 only. The cast date is correct. It has "high perf" cast on the block. The stamp on the pad us original and the build date is proper, the code is JK which is a 396-325 hp Chevelle motor mated to an automatic. The motor was opened up and inspected. It's clean inside, new valve guide seals were installed. It has reproduction chrome air cleaner and valve covers with the stickers. Stock manifolds, the intake is a GM aluminum. Features include power steering, power brakes and factory air conditioning. New cadmium plated booster, new alternator, wiper motor, washer bottle. New clutch fan and shroud. All the metal is painted with a gloss finish.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean solid metal. Someone did a really good job of duplicating the factory type spatter finish. The bottom of the trunk lid and jamb are painted slick. New stickers and weatherstrip, it also includes a jack and spare assembly.
UNDERSIDE: The body was removed from the frame and everything under this car is restored to look practically new. It has the F-41 suspension includes swaybars and boxed rear control arms. The entire front suspension and steering is replaced and detailed. The rear suspension was also redone. New fuel system including tank, straps, sending unit and wiring harness. It has a new dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers and the correct cowbell tips. The brakes have been all redone. It has discs in front, new brake lines and e-brake cables. Looking up at the motor it's still fresh, new starter. The Turbo 400 transmission is correct and it looks clean. U-joints are replaced. In back it has the original 12 bolt rear end. The floors are clean metal, prepped and painted gloss black.
I think this is a good looking SS. The colors are unique and handsome. An original big block motor, factory air and frame off restored. Sounds like it has a lot to offer!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
**These cars are displayed in a museum. If interested in a particular car make an appointment with a salesman to see that car. Without an appointment there is an admission fee to enter the showroom. If you buy a car, your admission will be refunded and you will be given a 1 year membership.

About Volo Auto Museum
No other collector car dealer has been in business longer than the Volo Auto Museum. Owned and operated by the Grams family since 1960. We are the only collector car dealer that has 4 generations of experience with buying, selling and consigning classic autos. For our family, classic cars are more than a business, it is a passion. Over the decades, we have maintained a reputation for dealing with integrity as proven with our high reviews and A+ rating with the BBB.
Buying a classic car can be exciting, but also stressful. We want to take the stress out of your buying experience by allowing you the time and tools you need to get to know the car you are interested in before making your investment, not after. Unlike auctions, we allow test drives, 3rd party inspections, the use of our shop and car lift. No reasonable request will be turned down.
Selling a car can be equally stressful, but it doesn’t have to be. After reviewing your quality collector car, we will discuss the options we have available to you and let you decide what works best for you. We have cash available for immediate sales and we also offer a consignment program that surpasses anyone else’s. Unlike percentage based programs with fees; we work with a no fee, net to owner. This allows us the opportunity to treat and market your car as if it were our own. We invest approximately 00 of our own money into marketing your car, which means if it doesn’t sell, we lose, not you. So, we are more aggressive in selling your car!
