Chevelle Yenko
Re-Creation
This is not your typical 'restored' 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle!
This Very Authentic YENKO Re-Creation is an absolute stunner.
Mere words alone do not provide this jaw-dropper the justice it is due. A true 'Must-See' Chevelle, this car has recently been professionally restored to the absolute highest level. A Multiple-Show-Winner with just 2,167 miles since completed, this Chevelle was built to provide modern reliability and an old-school attitude - with 500+ horsepower to back up the attention that this intimidating Yenko Chevelle commands.
Beautifully finished in factory Tuxedo Black with Correct Yenko Stripes, New Black Bucket Seats, Console Interior with Original Rosewood Steering Wheel. 'SYC' Headrest Decals. Ground-up restoration with All-New Chrome and Trim. An impeccable build with laser-straight panels and better-than-factory fitment and gaps. Rare and correct parts, trim, and detail components abound.
We've seen hundreds of fabulous Chevelles here at Park Place over the years and, to put it simply, This is an AWESOME CAR!
If you're ready to stand out with an iconic American classic that is the perfect mix of muscle car attitude and first-class modern performance, featuring a no-nonsense combination of menacing looks and vicious street manners, this Chevelle is your kind of car. This car is ready to be driven, shown, admired, and enjoyed for years to come.
The Correct 427ci engine, (casting #3963512), with factory GM aluminum heads, and intake manifold. was expertly built and balanced by Cope Brothers Racing (
Derrike Cope won the 1990 Daytona 500 NASCAR Race
)
. It's been bored and stroked to 496 cubic inches, and includes high-performance 10:1 compression pistons, finned YENKO valve covers and rear-end cover, a Holley 750CFM Carb, and
high-performance
Hooker Headers. All that power is put to pavement through a Muncie M20 4-Speed Manual Transmission, (that's controlled with the beyond rare original YENKO shift handle), and the 12-Bolt PosiTraction rear-end delivers it to the correct vintage 5-Spoke American Racing Torque Thrust Wheels with period-look Goodyear reproduction tires. A modern four-wheel disc 'Big-Brake' system brings this Chevelle to an abrupt halt when required. F41 suspension with sway bars. Factory original tachometer and gauge, dash with rare radio-delete plate.
This Chevelle is certainly an attention grabber and has benefited from a comprehensive professional restoration. The body on this Chevelle is outstanding, perfectly straight panels, excellent fitment, and a flawless finish all attest to the high level of craftsmanship that this car was subject to. All the exterior chrome and brightwork were replaced during the restoration. Upgraded and New throughout. Electrical and Ignition System, Cooling System including; Radiator and Cooling Fan, Water Pump, and all New Belts and Hoses, All New Brakes with New Master Cylinder and Booster, New Weatherstripping.
Recent HEI ignition update. Paint has been ceramic coated.
Inside, the cabin is also in outstanding condition throughout and features all-new vinyl upholstery with bucket front seats, wood grain trim, and the 4-speed manual shift lever with a YENKO shift handle sitting proudly above the center console. The seats are covered in the correct black vinyl and are in excellent condition with no discernible flaws. The glass, dash, fascia, gauges and controls, headliner glovebox, carpets, knobs, and lights are all correct and in excellent order. The trunk, as well, shows excellent. Undercarriage and all running gear are outstanding, factory-fresh condition. This Yenko Chevelle presents in a most appealing fashion and coupled with 500+ horsepower Cope Brothers engine that's backed by the desired 4-speed manual trans, console interior, gauges, correct black sport bucket seats, authentic and correct parts, and finally, the white Yenko stripes on the expertly finished black paintwork - all make it very difficult not to fall in love with this near 50-year-old classic.
Yenko Chevrolet's history dates back to 1929, the year Frank Yenko opened a Durant dealership. After Durant folded in 1932, Yenko opened a Chevrolet dealership in Bentleyville, PA in 1934. In 1949, Yenko opened a second Chevrolet dealership in Canonsburg, PA. In 1957, Frank's son Don took over the dealership. Known for his modified Chevrolets, Don ran the dealership until 1982. Operating between 1949 and 1982, the dealership is best known for selling customized muscle cars in the late 1960s. Referred to today as "Yenkos" they are among the most collectible 1960s vehicles.
If a fully restored classic muscle car that's in outstanding condition throughout is in your future, then do yourself a favor and come check out this 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle Yenko Re-Creation. It would be difficult to build any other muscle car to this level of quality for a figure close to the value you can drive this one out of our showroom for today.
