Amazing what the right set of wheels can do for a car, right? This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396 Tribute didn't stray too far from its original roots, but with the lowered stance and shiny rolling stock, it takes on a whole new persona that totally grabs everyone's attention. 454 big block V8 power with a 4-speed manual gearbox certainly helps, as does the hot red-on-red color combination, but only if you're the lucky guy or gal who gets to take this beauty home at night.
Classic colors never look wrong on a Chevy of any kind, and the gorgeous bright red paint on this one is pretty close to the original Bolero Red on the 1967 color chart. These mid-year Chevelles look especially sleek with their long, lean, unadorned bodywork and there's just no way to make them look bad. It was repainted a few years ago and looks awesome for the local cruise nights and heading down the street, and you certainly won't be ashamed to roll it out front for a full detail job next Saturday. Up close, there are a few blemishes, as you'd expect, but nothing major that detracts from the overall presentation. It's nice to see a stock hood on a vintage Chevelle, and it certainly has the right indicators for vintage performance, ranging from the SS grille up front, the blacked-out tail panel in the rear, to the crossed-flag emblems on the front fenders that warn potential predators that there's a nasty surprise waiting for them if they want get cute at the red light. No stripes, no vinyl roof, no silly add-ons, just a clean, sleek Chevelle that looks fast just sitting still. The trim is in good order, including the bumpers and much of the stainless detail work, so it shines when you pull it out of the garage and the windows have a slight tint that adds a sinister attitude that works rather well.
Bucket seats, a sporty steering wheel, and a 4-speed all mean this car was built for speed as much as style, and you know we like our muscle cars with a tall shifter sticking out of the floorboard like an industrial-strength horsepower lever. The bright red seats are in excellent condition throughout with hardly any signs of use, as are the matching red door panels, red dash and protective dash pad, and the plush red carpets that line the floors. Yeah, it's a sea of red, but it really looks great and there are just enough chrome and black accents inside to offset the monochromatic look. All the original gauges are long gone, replaced instead with a full array of digital/analog units that fit neatly inside the original bezel and do a much more accurate job of keeping an eye on the organized violence under the hood. An aftermarket billet steering with a leather rim was added atop a swapped-in tilt column to anchor the cockpit, and it's the perfect companion for the red-ball topped Hurst shifter that splits the front buckets. A retro-style modern AM/FM/AUX stereo was added into the factory slot, and it pairs with an aftermarket R134a A/C system that blows through the chrome vents in the dash.
The thumping 454 cubic inch V8 provides enough punch to make this car extremely entertaining on the street. With all the usual performance goodies bolted on, from a QuickFuel 4-barrel carb and polished air-gap intake to the big aluminum radiator and auxiliary fan, it will make you forget about your desire for more power. It's also beautifully finished inside the custom engine bay, with shiny black inner fenders and a smoothed red firewall, and the block itself is adorned with black Chevrolet valve covers and a matching open-element air cleaner. Power steering is always welcome on a car with a giant chunk of iron over the front axle and Wilwood 4-wheel disc brakes are always a good idea on something with this much raw power. The underside has been neatly cleaned up and shows incredibly well, with upgraded suspension components including tubular A-arms and upgraded coilovers up front, along with a big Hotchkis sway bat and more coilovers in the rear that help this Chevelle handle like a dream. Stock-style exhaust manifolds feed into a throaty dual exhaust system with Borla mufflers that certainly knows how to get attention. And as we mentioned at the top, those shiny US Mag wheels and staggered 235/45/17 front and 275/40/18 rear performance radials set it all off perfectly.
Clean, turn-key Chevelles like this are getting harder to find all the time, and if you're looking to just get in and start having fun in an absolute stunner, this one represents a very attractive way to do it. Call today!

We recognize the need for complete transparency when buying/selling vehicles on eBay. That said, we did not build, modify, or have the luxury of personal ownership that would give us the advantage of knowing all unknown aspects of each vehicle. Transparency is king and we're happy to try and answer ALL questions our customers might have prior to purchasing. Additionally, we welcome and encourage independent inspections (see Inspection statement below).
FEES
: A documentation fee of 9 will be added to the purchase price at the time of sale. Sale price does not include any Title, License, Registration, State or Local Taxes or Processing Fees. We recommend you familiarize yourself with your individual state's taxes, transfer, or additional fees.
AVAILABILITY
: Please inquire prior to purchase to assure any advertised vehicle is not already sold. We advertise across multiple platforms where a vehicle can sell in a moment's notice. Vehicles may be sold prior to eBay listing end, and we reserve the right to end listings early or to cancel bids/offers solely at our discretion and shall not be held liable for any such cancellation.
CONTACT
: Note that you may hear from us after to the sale, but if you are a winning bidder, click a Buy-It-Now, or we accept your eBay Offer, it is your responsibility to contact us within 24 hours.
INSPECTION
: VERY IMPORTANT. If a buyer chooses to buy sight unseen (many of our buyers choose this option) the buyer accepts the vehicle AS-IS and understands we cannot address concerns post sale. For this reason, it's important all concerns are addressed prior to purchase. We make every effort to present accurate and reliable information, but use of this information is voluntary, and should only be deemed reliable after an independent review of its accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. It is the sole responsibility of the customer/buyer to verify the existence of options, accessories and the vehicle condition before time of sale.
PAYMENT
: We require a non-refundable 0 deposit within 48 hours of winning or commitment to purchase. Full payment is required within 7 days of offer acceptance unless other arrangements are agreed to in writing. If deposit and/or full payment are not provided within said timeframe, all vehicles will be relisted and transaction will be considered void. For balance of payment we will accept bank wire transfer (preferred), cashier's check, or personal check (vehicle shipment will be delayed until check clears). We also offer vehicle financing, please inquire for details prior to making bids/offers. SHIPPING: We have access to a network of private and commercial carriers. Most of them can deliver the vehicle to your driveway and upon your schedule. We assume no responsibility for damages or delays incurred once a vehicle is in a shipper's custody. Buyers are welcomed to trailer vehicles home and we are happy to have everything ready to see you off with your new vehicle.
DRIVE IT HOME
: If you plan to buy and drive home, please keep some things in mind. Anything is possible when it comes to a vehicle, especially a classic or antique one. We recommend transporting all vehicles to your home first, then driving it locally. Get to know the vehicle and its tendencies before embarking on a long-distance trip. If you choose to drive your new vehicle home, buyer accepts all responsibility as we are unable to control what may take place once it leaves our facility.
DOCUMENTS & VEHICLE TITLE
: All purchase documents are sent immediately upon purchase. To avoid delays, we recommend returning any required documents within 24 hours of receipt. Please allow up to 30 days for vehicle titles. Usually titles are available sooner, we ask for the extra time in the event there are unforeseen circumstances.
VIN VERIFICATION
: We photograph the primary VIN location of every vehicle and make sure that VIN exactly matches the vehicle's current title. Buyer agrees to hold seller harmless from any disputes arising from other hidden or secondary VINs present on the vehicle as seller only verifies the primary VIN location. If needed, it is the buyer's sole responsibility to verify secondary VIN locations their specific state may inspect, prior to purchase.
MILEAGES
: Occasionally our vehicles may be driven or simply moved around our facilities. Slight differences may occur so we recommend you confirm actual and current miles prior to purchase.
CONDITION
: We cover the obvious and do our best to describe our vehicles in detail. Even so, please have a transparent conversation with us before purchasing. Do be aware that all pre-owned vehicles, regardless of age, mileage, or manufacturer are subject to cosmetic wear and mechanical failure. Finally, be advised that although our sales associates are here to assist you with your purchase, they are not trained or certified vehicle inspectors.
AS-IS
: All vehicles are sold "AS IS" and with no warranties expressed or implied. If you choose to waive inspection, do plan to have a detailed and transparent conversation with us regarding the vehicle's condition. Ask the hard questions up front. Please just call us, we are here to help and welcome all your questions!
